FAQ
Common questions about the ABIS Smart WiFi 3-tier heated clothes airer.
How much does it cost to run?
It draws 300W. At a typical 30p/kWh unit rate that is about 9p an hour — far less than a tumble dryer, which is often 60p–90p an hour. Use the app timer so it is not left on overnight by accident.
Will it dry a full wash in winter?
Yes. You get 20.5m of heated rail and a 30kg capacity rating, enough for a typical mixed load plus extras. Heat is gentle (45–55°C), so fabrics are not tumbled. Leave space between items so air can move.
Is the WiFi setup difficult?
Switch the wall socket on, press the round button in the middle of the plug, then press the standby safety button on the airer. Your phone must stay on 2.4GHz WiFi for pairing — 5GHz will not work. Add it in Smart Life as Other, then rename it Heated Airer.
Can I use it outdoors?
The power switch is waterproof so splashes and a covered outdoor space are fine. It is still an electrical appliance — keep the plug dry and do not use it in heavy rain.
How compact is it when folded?
The rails fold in to about 70mm deep, 1480mm tall. Slide it beside a fridge or behind a door. Two metres of cable reaches a normal socket.
What is the returns policy?
30 days, unused and in original packaging, for a full refund on orders from clothesairers.com. You cover return postage unless the unit is faulty.
