Guide 13 of 20 · Follow in order
Turn heat on when the weather is wet
An Automation uses Smart Life’s weather for your home — rain or a wet day can start the airer without opening the device.
You will need
- Airer online
- Home location set in Smart Life (so weather is right)
Step 1 of 3
Open Smart → Automation
Add Condition When weather changes · Rainy
Add Task Run the device · Heated Airer → On
Smart Life · as it appears on the phone
Do this
At the bottom tap Smart. Switch to Automation (not Tap-to-Run). Tap + or Create Scene.
You should see
A blank automation: Add Condition, Add Task, Name, and Effective Period.
Step 2 of 3
When: weather is rain
Sunny
Rainy
Cloudy
Snowy
Smart Life · as it appears on the phone
Do this
Tap Add Condition → When weather changes (some versions: Weather change) → Weather → Rainy (Humidity also works). That uses the home location from Smart Life, not a sensor on the airer.
You should see
Condition: Weather is Rainy.
Tip. This is a forecast for your home pin — hang the wash first, or heat will run on an empty frame.
Step 3 of 3
Then: Heated Airer On
Add Condition When weather changes · Rainy
Add Task Run the device · Heated Airer → On
Smart Life · as it appears on the phone
Do this
Tap Add Task → Run the device (it may say Device) → Heated Airer → On. Save. Still set a countdown or an Off schedule so it does not run all day.
You should see
When Rainy → Then Heated Airer On.
Stay on this step. Weather automations can fire while you are out. Pair them with a schedule Off, or a two-hour countdown habit.
